 Fox Art Auction 2012

It is with this social responsibility in mind that we are proud and honored to be co-chairing the 2012 Art Auction to benefit William Fox Elementary School in The Fan.

It is the mission of Fox Elementary School to enable and empower young people to develop creative, inquisitive minds; strong healthy bodies; and caring compassionate hearts.  It is with this in mind that the theme for our 2012 Fox Art Auction is “Roots and Wings”, based on the Hodding Carter quote that those are the two great things we can give our children.

This year's event will be on February 25, 2012 at The Hippodrome Theater in Jackson Ward.  We need the help of the community to help raise money to provide reading programs for the children that need extra help, tutoring, scholarships for soccer, additional art programs and so much more.

Our Agents

Catherine Gilmer

Catherine is the product of a military scientist and a dedicated military wife.  After years of moving around the country, she settled into Northern Virginia through her adolescence and young adulthood until the fast pace of life and traffic got the better of her and she moved to Richmond’s Fan District.  When the time came to purchase her first home, she moved to the Northside, into a charming Cape Cod in need of a facelift (and after that was done and sold, and she swore she would never live in a fixer-upper again, moved into another).   Her past professional life was working in the alternative healthcare industry, managing doctor’s offices and dealing with health insurance (fun!).  Catherine married Justin, a licensed contractor and owner of a renovation company, on the Rappahannock River in Warsaw, VA.  They reside happily in the Northside in their second Cape Cod, currently being renovated, with their son, Ethan, and their AARF rescued mutt, Chevy.  When she is not selling real estate, she enjoys family boat rides, container gardening, cooking, home decorating and grabbing a pint at Legend Brewing Company.

Catherine specializes in the sale and purchase of residential homes in the City of Richmond and surrounding counties.  She is also a Certified Historic Realtor ® through A.C.O.R.N. (Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods) and has knowledge (and a lot of experience) with homes that that need a modern vision (a.k.a. a new kitchen).
